Website Redesign & WordPress Build
LEDCOM
LEDCOM is the enterprise centre for Larne and Ballyclare — a social enterprise with charitable status that has supported local business for forty years. We rebuilt their website to carry four quite different offers at once: business support, employment programmes, managed workspace and conferencing.

One Organisation, Four Very Different Audiences
A clearer route through business support, workspace and conferencing
LEDCOM does more than most visitors expect. Someone arriving might be a first-time entrepreneur looking for mentoring, an established company looking for industrial units, or an events manager pricing up a training room. The redesign started from that problem.
“The website looks great; what a transformation!”

Located twenty minutes from Belfast, LEDCOM has spent four decades supporting business across Larne, Ballyclare and the surrounding area. As a social enterprise, surpluses are reinvested into local economic and community development — so the website had to work as hard for a sole trader taking a first step as it does for a company signing a lease.
- Structure Built Around Intent. Business support, programmes, workspace and conferencing each get their own clear route from the homepage, so visitors reach the right section without having to understand how the organisation is arranged internally.
- Property and Facilities, Properly Presented. Managed workspace across Willowbank Business Park and Foundry House — private offices, industrial units, workshops and co-working — is set out with the practical detail an enquiry actually depends on, alongside the conferencing and training rooms.
- A CMS the Team Can Actually Run. Built on WordPress with editable content blocks, so LEDCOM can publish news, events and programme updates themselves — important for an organisation whose funded programmes and workshops change through the year.
- Responsive From the Ground Up. The layout is designed for phones first, where a large share of enquiry traffic arrives, and scales up to the wide editorial layouts the desktop site uses for programme and property detail.
- Rooted in Larne and Ballyclare. Locations, travel times and the connection to Belfast are stated plainly throughout, reflecting how much of LEDCOM's audience is searching locally for space and support nearby.
The brand runs through the build rather than sitting on top of it — the four-colour mark, the confident magenta, and the photography of the people and premises behind the organisation. It launched alongside LEDCOM's fortieth anniversary year.
A Site That Reflects the Organisation
The result is a site that presents LEDCOM as what it is: an established enterprise centre with a broad, practical offer, and a genuine role in the local economy. Business support, workspace, conferencing and programmes now sit together coherently instead of competing, and the team can keep it current without coming back to us for routine changes.
