Who We Build For

Web Design for Belfast Businesses

We have run our studio from Belfast since 2013, and most of the businesses we work with are within an hour's drive of it. That matters more than it sounds: the useful conversations happen quickly, in plain language, with someone who knows the market.

What our clients share is that the website is a working part of the business rather than a brochure. So we build for the job: fast on a phone, clear about what you do and where, and straightforward to update. Sometimes that means a content management system you can run yourself; sometimes a full e-commerce build; often it means stripping out what the last agency added and never explained. If you are weighing up web design in Belfast, the first conversation is free and there is no obligation attached to it.

  • Takes bookings

Coach operators and tour companies whose enquiry forms match how people actually plan a trip to the north coast.

  • Sells products

Shops selling to GB and the Republic, with VAT under the NI Protocol and shipping set up properly from the start.

  • Generates enquiries

Clinics, engineers and trades whose appointment requests land somewhere the reception team will actually see them.

  • Runs without us

A content management system your own team can update, with training at handover rather than a support ticket.

Transport and coach hire, an enterprise centre supporting local start-ups, a refrigeration engineer, an eye care clinic, a bowling club, a business sales marketplace, photographers and musicians — not one type of business, but the same kind of job.

Where We Work

Belfast First, Northern Ireland Throughout

Our studio is on Hill Street in the Cathedral Quarter, and Belfast is where most of our work starts. But Northern Ireland is small enough that “local” stretches a long way, and the drive is rarely the obstacle people expect. If you would rather meet in person, we will come to you.

Location matters for a second reason. A search for a service almost always carries a place with it, spoken or assumed, and a site that only ever says “Northern Ireland” serves nobody in Coleraine. Part of the work is making your site specific about where you operate, so the people nearby actually find it — we explain how in our Belfast local SEO guide.

How We Work

How a Website Project Runs

Most people asking about a website have been burned before, usually by not knowing what was happening until it was too late to change it. Four stages, and you know where you are in all of them.

  1. Step 1

    Discovery

    Free · 30 to 60 minutes

A call where we work out what the site actually has to do and what is getting in the way. No commitment — you leave with our notes either way, even if we are not the right fit.

  2. Step 2

    Quote and proposal

    Fixed price where scope allows

A written proposal with a fixed price, or a clear estimate range where the work is genuinely open-ended. It states what is in scope, what is not, and the timeline. Take as long as you need with it.

  3. Step 3

    Design and build

    Progress every week

Design first and iteratively, then development. You see progress weekly rather than a reveal at the end, on a staging site you can click around before anyone else sees it.

  4. Step 4

    Launch and aftercare

    Redirects, analytics, handover

We launch with you rather than at you: content checks, redirects from the old URLs so you keep your rankings, analytics, the unglamorous parts. Then ongoing aftercare, or a clean handover to your own team.

Typical timelines run from a few weeks for a small marketing site to several months for a custom build — the proposal will say which yours is before you commit to anything. Once you are live, the aftercare side covers hosting, updates and monitoring, so the site does not quietly rot the way unmaintained sites do.

Budget

What a Website Costs

Most agencies will not publish a number, which helps nobody deciding whether to make the call. These are the ranges our work actually falls into.

Brochure & marketing sites
£1,000 – £3,000
Bespoke marketing sites for service businesses and professionals who need a strong presence without the complexity of selling online.
E-commerce stores
£3,000 – £10,000+
Shopify, WooCommerce or headless builds, including product setup, payments, shipping and NI Protocol VAT.
Bespoke & custom builds
£5,000+
Booking systems, member portals, multi-site networks and custom applications where off-the-shelf platforms fall short.
Aftercare & maintenance
from £50/month
Hosting, security updates, performance monitoring and content changes once the site is live.

Most marketing-site projects start around £1,000. Anything smaller we either quote directly or point you towards a cheaper route than hiring us. The full pricing page breaks down each range, and what you will pay for hosting and domains on top.

Frequently Asked Questions

Have a different question and can't find the answer you're looking for? Reach out to our support team by sending us an email and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.

How much does a website cost in Belfast?
Marketing sites generally run £1,000 to £3,000, e-commerce stores £3,000 to £10,000 or more, and bespoke builds start around £5,000. The variables are the number of pages, whether your content already exists, and whether the site has to integrate with anything you already use. We quote a fixed price wherever the scope allows it.
How long does a website take to build?
A small marketing site is usually a few weeks. An e-commerce store or a custom build is typically two to four months. The biggest variable is not development, it is content — projects wait on copy and photography far more often than they wait on code. Your proposal gives a timeline before you commit.
Do you work with businesses outside Belfast?
Yes. We are based on Hill Street in Belfast, but we work across Northern Ireland, including Lisburn, Newry, Derry/Londonderry, Antrim, Ballymena, Coleraine and Bangor. Northern Ireland is small enough that meeting in person is rarely a problem if you would prefer to.
Will I be able to update the website myself?
In almost every case, yes. We build on content management systems you can run without us, and we show you how before handover. If you would rather not touch it, our aftercare plans cover content updates from £50 a month.
Can you redesign a site without losing our Google rankings?
Yes, and this is the part most redesigns get wrong. Rankings are usually lost because old URLs are dropped without redirects pointing to the new ones. We map the old structure to the new one before launch, redirect everything, and watch Search Console afterwards to catch anything that slipped through.
Do you build e-commerce sites for Northern Ireland businesses?
Yes, on Shopify, WooCommerce and headless setups. Selling from Northern Ireland has specifics worth getting right up front, particularly VAT under the NI Protocol and shipping to both GB and the Republic, and we set those up as part of the build rather than leaving them to you.
What happens after the site launches?
You either move onto an aftercare plan covering hosting, security updates, performance monitoring and content changes, or we hand over cleanly to whoever is taking it on, including access, documentation and anything they need. There is no lock-in either way.
Is SEO included, or is it separate?
The technical foundations are included in every build: clean structure, fast loading, correct metadata, working schema markup, and a sitemap search engines can read. Ongoing SEO work such as content, local listings and link building is a separate service, because it is continuous rather than something that finishes when the site launches.
